The pocket knife Opinel “No. 8 Black Oak” consists of a chic mixture of oak wood and black steel. The BLACK processing is achieved by means of a special surface treatment (PVD coating) of the pocket knife Opinel blade. Thus, the resistance to corrosion is strengthened and is still compliant in contact with food. The handle is made of oak wood, which comes from French forests and is varnished, making it resistant to moisture and dirt.

In addition, the Opinel pocket knife has a super practical safety lock! The security ring “Virobloc” was invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel. The Virobloc is cut from stainless steel and consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade open for safe use, it is also possible to lock the blade closed for safe transport!
The pocket knife is not suitable for the dishwasher, but can be easily cleaned with our solid, natural household soap!
