The Opinel children’s knife has a sharp edge but a rounded tip that effectively prevents injuries. This doesn’t completely relieve you as a parent of the duty of supervision over the carving offspring, but it is safer and gives you peace of mind.
In addition, the Opinel children’s knife has a super practical safety lock! The security ring “Virobloc” was invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel. The Virobloc is cut from stainless steel and consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade open for safe use, it is also possible to lock the blade closed for safe transport!
Stainless steel does not require any special care! The handle is made of beech wood. Beech wood is hard, durable and easy to work with. The Opinel children’s knife can be easily cleaned with our solid, natural household soap!
