Lerke Nennemann
Lerke Nennemann, is a German artist who was born and raised in Hamburg. Through her art, she explores the dynamic relationship between form, colour, proportion and structure. Her fresh, abstract compositions not only reflect her fascination with the interaction of colors, but also her admiration for the abstract expressionism of modern painting, which is reflected in and strongly influences her work. In her works, she processes feelings and life experiences, which she breaks down into colors and shapes to show her way of seeing. However, she is not concerned with stimulating the viewer to interpret her works. From their point of view, the artist’s thoughts and feelings are not important. Her intention is to allow the viewer an inner reflection; his/her personal perspective. Her works consist mainly of abstract paintings on large canvases, as well as smaller studies on paper. Some works are planned and conceived down to the last detail, others arise from impulses and leave room for spontaneity and coincidence. It is also the joy of experimenting that drives her work and always opens up new possibilities for expressing her creativity.
The Charity Edition “Lerke Nennemann” is made from organic cotton (woven in Germany), regional organic beeswax, pine resin from a traditional pitcher & fair trade organic coconut oil. Find out more about our selected raw materials .

It replaces aluminum & cling film, plastic & paper packaging and bulky lunch boxes – in the fridge or freezer, at home or on the go! It is water repellent, flexible & adheres to itself & other surfaces with the warmth of your hands. Cover vessels & plates with the wrap, snuggle it up to cut fruit & vegetables, wrap salads & herbs, pack cheese, bread & slices!
It is only unsuitable for fish or raw meat!
Your charity beeswax cloth “Lerke Nennemann” is cleaned under cold to max. lukewarm water. It is best to use a clean sponge and our household soap , which we have specially developed for this purpose. With it you can clean your beeswax wraps very gently & extend their lifespan! It is also great as a solid dish soap for your plastic-free household!
